Extreme Eating Contest Final

1. Eligibility:

- Participants must be 18 years or older.

- Participants must sign a waiver form before the contest begins.

2. Registration:

- All participants must register on AsiaFestYEG.ca.

- A maximum of 15 contestants will be allowed to compete.

3. Contest Format:

I - Preliminary Round – September 13, 2024, 8pm

- Each contestant will be given an equal of 5 cups of Mr Noodles.

- The staff will pour 300ml of warm water into the mixing bowl, along with the seasoning.

- The contest duration will be 10 minutes.

- Drinking water will be provided, but contestants may not use any other beverages.

- The contestant who uses the least time to finish the noodles AND soup within the 10-minute time frame will be declared the winner.

- 5 contestants will move to the final round.

- Result of the first round will be announced on September 13 at 10pm.

II - Final Round - September 14, 2024, 7pm

- Each contestant will be given 20 cups of Mr Noodles.

- The staff will pour 50ml of warm water into each cup noodles, in the increment of 3 noodles per 3 minutes, along with the seasoning.

- The contest duration will be 10 minutes.

- Drinking water will be provided, but contestants may not use any other beverages.

- The contestant who eats the most cup noodles within the 10-minute time frame will be declared the winner.

- In the event of a tie, a 2-minute tie-breaker round will be held.

4. Conduct:

- Contestants must remain seated throughout the contest.

- Contestants must not interfere with other participants. Any form of cheating or disruptive behavior will result in disqualification.

- Contestants who vomit or regurgitate will be immediately disqualified.

5. Health and Safety:

- All participants are advised to eat responsibly and know their own limits.

- Medical personnel will be on standby in case of emergencies.

- Contestants are encouraged to notify event staff immediately if they feel unwell.

6. Judging and Decisions:

- The decisions of the judges are final.

- Judges will be responsible for counting the number of cup noodles consumed and ensuring all rules are followed.

7. Prizes:

- The winner will receive a trophy, a gift card package, and 4 tickets to Oil Kings game.

- Each participant will receive a small gift as a token of appreciation.

8. Disqualification:

- Failure to adhere to any of the above rules will result in immediate disqualification.

9. Entry Fee:

- $5 per entry fee, all proceed will be donated to Edmonton Food Bank. Any leftover-unopened cup noodles will also be donated to Edmonton Food Bank.

By participating in the AsiaFest Cup Noodle Eating Contest, contestants agree to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the organizers and sponsors. We wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy the competition!
